Okinawa ramen

However, you will find that they come in seasonings you may recognize from all over Japan. These include your traditional pork stock, the more modern Tsukemen (dipped noodles), Kyoto style, Hakata style and many others. One in Urasoe and the other one located in Naha City.


I have never been to either location so I had no idea what Kyoto ramen tasted like. Choice of natural food : soba noodle, soki soba noodle and ramen noodle. Buy online okinawan products like fresh soba noodle. Okinawa store specialized in Okinawa food. Well decent ramen for the price.


Ordered their famous black ramen for 6and spicy for 670. Ramen is a little on the salty side and chasu cut pretty thinly. Good place to have ramen in American village. Ramen Linya, near Camp Foster on Highway 5 is the place to go when you’re hankering for this popular dish.

The noodles and the meat are both relatively thick. The broth is also relatively strong. They use a ticket machine. If you like ramen , Taketora is a great idea for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

Luckily, my husband and I love ramen so we were very excited to find a really good ramen shop just minutes from where we live. The soup is a combination of pork broth and katsuo dashi, filled with stewed pork belly slices, a few slices of fish cake, chopped green onion, and red pickled ginger. The restaurant is larger than most ramen places, having a combination of both counter and table seating. There are an increasing number of delicious ramen shops such as rich pork bone soy sauce ramen Ie-kei, Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen ,. It is the monthly Sunrise Market in Naha, and my husband wanted to go.

To order, I inserted my money into the vending machine and chose the ramen and any extras I wanted to order (you could choose gyoza, egg, drinks etc). When I was finally seated in my individual booth, I gave my tickets to the staff member and my ramen was made and delivered back to me through a screen to my booth.


The ramen was full of flavor and the gyoza was delicious as well. Probably the best gyoza I’ve had o. The lava ramen, although spicy, still had a great taste and the shoyu ramen was amazing. Better if you may also add pork, green oignons, pickled ginger and enjoy it even more. This naturally makes it a good place for tonkotsu ramen , which uses pork bones for the broth. My wife tells me this is a very famous ramen shop that many locals will travel down to Naha just for the opportunity to eat it.

I certainly miss authentic japanese ramen. Each town has their own unique ramen , and it is the small shacks and stands that make the best.
