Upfitter switches

Ford upfitter switches are panel-mount switches that control aftermarket optional accessories and instruments, including off-road lights, winches and snow plows. The switches control a set of relays mounted on the passenger side. These switches are located to the left of the steering column, beneath the instrument panel. They have the stock lightbar switch in the roof but my question is where are you guys mounting upfitter switches ? IE accessory lights, reverse lights ect. There seems no suggestion in the Ford docs about how one goes about routing these wires to the outside of the cab. You might be a technician that intends to search for referrals or address existing issues.
