Window glazing putty alternatives

No need to wait the days before you can paint, installation on full strength on same day than application. Window glazing compound alternative ? Does anyone know of any good alternatives to using glazing compound on a window frame? There are purpose-made glazing putty compounds that claim to set faster than Dap 33. I am however, an avid DIY dad who lives in a 1year old home in Boston.
