Water based lacquer

This dramatically reduces the cost of restorations and refurbishing of existing surfaces as the work can be done on site with minimal disruptions to the premises.


Water based lacquer

Water based lacquer s are used extensively in wood furniture finishing as well. It is great for on-site refinishing and repairs. I have a question on spraying water based lacquers.


I know that with solvent based lacquers that the after the first coat the subsequent coats dissolve into the first coat and then build up the thickness of the lacquer. Water-based topcoats over oil stains? Lacquer over polyurethane? This product can actually be used on wooden floors.


Solid pieces of lacquer falling into the finish from the lip of the can dissolve back into the finish. But this doesn’t happen with water-based finishes. Also, water-based finishes can sometimes coagulate a little in the can. Always strain water-based finishes.


Anyone have success using an airless? What tip,what pressure and what primer did you use? Water - based nail polish to the water - based materials,the texture is more. Did you lay them flat or not?

I woulsd like to get into spraying more lacquer because its looks great and dries fast, but all the options out there are confusing to someone new to spraying, like me.
