I used phillips head wood screws to fasten my MDF router table top to the router bench top. It is denser than plywood and stronger than particle board. MDF is not like any other wood.


Without the right steps, you will end up with split workpiece or two loosely-pulled-together pieces. However, some of the best screws for particle board are Spax.
