A new ignition wire has been run and it is still blowing the amp fuse. Can someone point me to the location of this fuse , I do not see any that is marked for the ignition. I do electronic repair for a living, so testing with an ohm meter or volt meter is a piece of cake, just do not see the right fuse.

Thanks, will definitely try the light bulb test. I had not noticed anything not working since it just happened today and had to leave the car at work. My fans are wired to my fuse box and they usually turn on when the key is in start position, but not anymore since blown ignition fuse. Try this and see what happens. Your positive that the fuse which is blowing is the ignition fuse and not the instr fuse. The fuse for the ignition circuit will typically blow repeatedly if there is a dead short in the circuit (a hot wire with lost insulation touching ground) or a device in the circuit, such as the ignition switch, is malfunctioning and also drawing more current than the fuse can handle. Ok the amp fuse in question actually splits into to other circuits after it leaves the fuse. One goes to the starter relay and the other goes to the ignition switch.

IF maxi blows then you ignition switch is shorting out. Install a new maxi fuse and turn ignition on.
