Line lock install

This is their recommendations for correctly connecting a line - lock for your brake system. Note: If using an aftermarket brake system, a residual valve type master cylinder must be used. Proper instal­lation is required.

Since I am only locking the front tires and only worried about preasure to the rear brakes this was the easiest way for me.

Cap one port at the valve, run a line from the linelock In port to the open port on the valve. Then using a T connect the lines from the front brakes together along with a third line going back to the line lock out port. I have separate lines from the master cylinder to the front and rear brakes. First drain the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir by either sucking the fluid out from the top or removing the rear brake line and letting the fluid drip into a cup. I wanted a mount and location that was out of the way and would hold the Line - Lock ridged so it would not move or vibrate and not require a lot of extra brake lines. All of the main pieces are included to mount and wire the line lock , excluding extra wiring.

I installed two line locks right before the forward brake lines on either side. The solenoid keeps the front brakes locked while releasing the rear brakes. Im thinking of installing a line lock. And on the line lock site it says you.


I finally took the plunge and bought a line lock from Cartek, nice piece and complete kit. Here are photos of the install. The only thing I changed was the means of activating the line lock.
